VLC Releases VLC UWP app for Windows 10

UWP app is the newest brand from the stable of VLC, meant for Windows 10. The app is meant to serve users on windows 10 PC, Windows 10 mobile and Xbox one even up to users of Windows 10 IoT.UWP app for Windows 10

The released statement from Videolan, the whole brands of windows product won’t receive the update at once, as they are programmed to hit the market gradually.

UWP app for Windows 10 Release Dates

This new UWP app for windows 10 is expected to debut firstly on the windows 10 mobile on the beta release, while the official release with hit the market later in the month of May.

The desktop version of UWP app is expected to be launched in may as well with the official version expected in mid-May.

Users of Xbox are to wait a little longer are the code and API issues will cause a little delay in the process. Most likely, the app will hit the market this summer.

There is lots of hope for users of Windows 10 IoT and those on Raspberry Pi 3 even though no release date has been given.

Those on the HoloLens are not part of this yet.

It is now most likely that VLC will drop support for users on windows 8.1 and Windows RT in May 2016.

VLC has been the market leader in the area of multi-media play and management ever since.
