Netflix Out To Restrict Global Access To All Programs.

Netflix has come to the conclusion of restricting users to content licensed for their host country.

The services recently announced it is expanding its services to 130 countries to strengthen its global presence.

Netflix came to the stand is of restricting users to content meant for their country by improving it’s proxy detection and surveillance. This is a great move. Making sure that people don’t default.Netflix

Though the service is a global one, but all content are not meant to be available to every user. Due to issues of licensing, some content is restricted from nations. Say in the case of “The Walking Dead” which is not available to  UK user.

There is the conscious effort by Netflix to regularize this whole issue. But this move remains  a long term goal for Netflix. David Fullagar, The company’s VP of Content Delivery put it this way “If all our content were globally available, there wouldn’t be a reason for members to use proxies or ‘unblockers’ to fool our systems into thinking they’re in a different country than they’re actually in,”

With the expansion to 130 countries, it has been noted the some people uses VPN to play a hard one on Netflix. This is what prompting the need for proxy monitoring by Netflix-Tv Streaming services.

Because of this, Fullagar further explained that his company is out to “employ the same or similar measures other firms do” to combat such activity sharp practice, although he omitted any specifics.

He did reference the ‘evolving’ technology used to track down this type of activity, and that it will be utilized until all Its content is available globally. “We look forward to offering all of our content everywhere,” on closing the statement. “That’s the goal we will keep pushing towards.”
